Zoto is a duo composed of Zoé Renié Harris (1992), singer and guitar player, and her brother Tom Renié Harris (1995), singer. Just Listen got to know them in the summer of 2015, in a small village on the coast of France in Normandy.
It was evident that these two voices together sounded very pleasing and the vibe was just there. The first track on the E.P. was recorded in the summer house using a Sony PCM-D100, which, albeit it’s name, can record Native .dff files, which we transformed to .dsf’s by adding metadata.
The first two tracks were recorded on the stage at MCO in Hilversum, and included double bass player Pierre Dunker. These tracks were both analog mixed at the session and recorded to 256fs DSD and finished without any post-production.
